I am a guitar teacher based in swiss cottage, North London. I have grade 8 in both classical and electric guitar, a music-teaching diploma, and a degree in music performance. I have been playing guitar for over 17 years, and teaching guitar for 5 years.
As well as teaching from my home studio, I also travel to most places in the London area at a time that suits you. If you would like to have lessons at my studio, an hours lesson costs £25.00. If you would like if you would like me to travel to you, an hours lesson costs £30.00
I teach just about all styles, including rock/metal lead guitar, classical, jazz, pop, indie, music theory, acoustic etc.
My lessons are relaxed and informal, although carefully structured. I aim to encourage students to develop a clear idea of a direction they would like to take, and provide them with the skills needed to achieve these goals. This might be to translate songs by ear from a CD/Mp3 onto guitar, or read tabs/sheet music for your favourite songs directly from the Internet. Learn the skills needed to start a band or learn to play simply for your own enjoyment.
I offer a very flexible service as I tutor electric, classical and acoustic guitar to all ages and abilities, from beginner to grade 8 and professional standard. I offer this service in your own home at a time that suits you.
For students under the age of 15, lessons are 45 minutes rather than an hour.
