Biography

Matt has been a guitarist for 14 years and has 5 years of diverse professional guitar tuition experience. He achieved Grade 8 accreditation in both electric and classical guitar prior to commencing his music performance degree, which he completed with a strong 2.1. He possesses the highest award of distinction in his teaching diploma, with a panel of expert judges deeming his tuition ability as "exceptional". He is a versatile and enthusiastic teacher with strengths in many genres, particularly rock/metal lead guitar, classical (in which he specialises and regularly performs), jazz and pop. Matt enjoys tutoring all ages and abilities. In addition to working as a teacher and performer, he is pursuing a career in music production and artist management, having already co-managed the bands 'Buck Brothers' and 'Afterparty'. His talent and aptitude in music is far reaching, with a vast understanding of musical theory, performance, composition, technology and management.
